We are proud of the support we provide for children and families at Blakehill Primary School and we would like to introduce you to our team. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our provision. You can do this by calling the school on 01274 414355 or by emailing us at send@blakehillprimary.co.uk

Mrs Gould - Assistant Headteacher and Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO)

Rachel Gould - Assistant Headteacher - SENDCO and lead of Pastoral Care.

I began my Blakehill journey in 2012 when I started as a Year 1 teacher. Since then I have worked in all year groups across both key stages and enjoyed every minute of it! This is the second school that I have taught in but one I wish to stay at for years to come. The school feels like a second to family to me and I enjoy everyday that I spend here.  I love everything about this school and its community: the child and the parents are a pleasure to work with.  No matter which year group that have worked in, the children have been hard working and enthusiastic to learn.

In my role as Assistant Headteacher and lead of Special Educational Needs and Pastoral Care, I work with our wonderful staff to create a place that children enjoy coming to, where they develop a love for learning, feel safe and valued. I work with a large number of families and offer support to both children and their parents.

We have developed a fantastic team in SEN and Pastoral care where I get to work alongside other adults who share the same passion as myself for supporting our families and children who need additional support or provision.

Sarah Dickinson- Assistant SENDCO

I am currently a Year one class teacher and have worked at Blakehill since 2013. Blakehill is the third school I have worked at.  Since joining the team here I have found a school that I love. Blakehill is more than just a school to me, it is a family and a place where I feel I can make a difference. During my time at Blakehill I have worked in Early Years and more recently in Key Stage One where I have been passionate about supporting all children in their learning journey. My experience of working with children in Early Years led me to my desire to support all children to develop their individual strengths. I believe that all children have the ability to sparkle and be wonderful in school. It is our job to find a way to unlock every childs potential. By being part of the SEN team at Blakehill I have got the chance to help to support more children to do this. I feel like a very lucky teacher.

I am delighted to be working alongside a wonderful SEN team to support children and their families who need additional support and provision
