Enrichment Opportunities

Year 3 visit to the Turner prize exhibition.
 
Year 3 had the privilege of attending the Turner Prize gallery at Cartwright Hall. The children looked around the gallery and then had the opportunity to create their own artwork. They put tape on their paper and then used pastels to colour over it, onece they lifted the tape away it left a white mark. They also had a go at using wax and ink.
Key Stage 1 workshop - Jessica Swift
 
Year 1 and 2 took part in a workshop with local artist Jessica Swift. She showed the children how she creates her abstarct art. She discussed how she uses lots of tools to help her create texture and pattern. The children uses Jessic's techniques to create abstarct artwork. They used sand to add texture to the paint, feathers, forks and their hands to apply the paint. 
 
Art Week 
 
As part of arts week Blakehill took inspiratio from th Bradford City of Culture. Each year group produced artwork, peoms and music inspired by Bradford.
