Music Assemblies

In addition to our whole class ensemble teaching, we have weekly music assemblies. These assemblies allow us to further enhance the teaching of music throughout school. Our music assemblies are split by Key stage. EYFS and KS1 attend a music assembly led by Miss Stocks on a Thursday afternoon. KS2 attend a music assembly led by Mr Graham on a Wednesday afternoon.

In these music lessons, children are taught how to warm up their voices in preparation for performing as well as being taught to sing a variety of music linked to times of the year, special celebrations and whole school themes.

Please see below for what we have been learning in assemblies this year.
Bradford Cathedral - What does it mean to be a Chorister at Bradford Cathedral?

The children have an interesting morning learning what it would be like to be part of the Bradford Cathedral Choir. The children joined in with vocal warm ups and sang 'Frère Jacques' in a round.
Drumming Assembly
KS2 were visited by Jeff Rich a rock drummer, best known for playing with Status Quo.
