Senior Leadership Team

Trevor Patterson - Executive Headteacher

I am very proud of being Headteacher of Blakehill Primary School since 2005. In 2015 I became the Executive Headteacher of both Blakehill and nearby Thackley Primary School. I am in the privileged position of working with two great schools. We work collaboratively in many areas sharing best practice and expertise so that both schools can learn from each other and continue to progress.

Our aim is to give our children the excellent start in the education they deserve.

Lisa Keighley - Head of School

I have worked at Blakehill since the year 2000 and have taught in every year group throughout school, gaining a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills. My initial teacher training focused on Early Years and KS1 however most of my teaching practice and development have been in KS2, particularly in Years 5 and 6. I have progressed into middle then senior leadership and became Head of School in September 2015.

In my role as Head of School I work with other senior leaders and the Executive Headteacher to ensure that the children at Blakehill have the best possible provision and exceptional school experiences.

The children at Blakehill are happy, engaged and enthusiastic learners who work hard and are respectful of each other.  I am very proud to work alongside a team of dedicated colleagues who have the welfare, safety and achievement of our children at the heart of everything we do.

Helen Hall - Assistant Headteacher

I have been the Assistant Head here since September 2015 and I have worked at Blakehill for many years now. Some people ask me why I have worked at the same school for so long and the answer is simple: because it’s Blakehill! I love everything about this school and its community. The children are the most incredible, enthusiastic learners, the staff are hard-working and inspiring and the parents are supportive and friendly.

I am proud to work at Blakehill and hope to be here for many more years to come!

Catherine Scott - KS1 and EYFS Leader

I have been working at Blakehill in Year 2 since 2010 and most of my teaching career has been in Key Stage 1. I am Key Stage One Leader and have also recently become Early Years Leader, something that I have been very excited about!

I am a creative person and enjoy finding new ways to help children learn. I love working at Blakehill because the children are so enthusiastic and keen to learn. We are a fantastic team here and we are committed to doing our very best for the children every day to ensure that they achieve their full potential. In my role on the Senior Leadership Team, I am really looking forward to building on our strengths, being a part of creating a learning environment that is exciting, challenging, safe and happy and being the best school that we can be!

Rehana Rashid - Lower KS2 Leader

My amazing journey started on September 2010 as  a newly qualified teacher. Since then I have loved every second of being a valuable member of the Blakehill community and hope to stay here for many years to come .

I believe the uniqueness of Blakehill  is  its embedded mission statement  of ' together we can'. It underpins every aspect of the school from the  learning culture to daily interactions for all children, staff and parents. I am extremely proud to be part of a dedicated team that delivers high quality teaching to inspire and stimulate our children's  experiences and help them grow as individuals. I consider our  children the most valuable and greatest asset. They  are resilient and optimistic in all aspects of school life through their attitudes and curious nature.

I am very lucky for the opportunity to teach Reception and Year 1 for 3 years and now I am embarking on the next chapter in successful leading Lower Key Stage 2.

Adam Rhodes – Upper KS2 Leader

I have worked at Blakehill since 2006 across KS2, from Y3 to Y6, as well as leading science and mathematics before becoming upper KS2 leader.

I love working at Blakehill because the children are fantastic: kind, fun, hard-working and excited about learning; the adults in school are equally inspirational: working together, striving selflessly every single day to help each and every child achieve their full potential both in and out of the classroom.

Being upper KS2 leader and a member of the SLT has given me the opportunity to get to know a wider range of children in the key stage and have a positive impact upon their development.

I am very proud to say I work at Blakehill and hope to play a key role in helping the children of the school succeed for years to come.
