Autumn Term

This week, we have been using our DT skills to produce a pop up Christmas card for our families. We hope you like them. Merry Christmas! Have a lovely holiday everyone!
We had a great time at our Christmas party! We wore our best clothes, danced, played party games and of course had a delicious party tea!
Today we got in the Christmas mood by making some stained glass angels, trees, stars and stables to decorate our corridor with.
Look at us becoming more proficient on our bikes on our Bikeability morning! We practised on balance bikes and some of us got to move on to pedalling. We loved it!
We have used Numicon to help us make 2 digit numbers before adding them together.
We had a great time on Maths Day! We dressed up as TT Rockstars and worked together to use repeated addition or multiplication to solve the Riddle of the Sphynx . . .
This week we have been lucky enough to work with Tim Curtis, a local artist. We used cardboard boxes to recreate Barbara Hepworth's Family of Man sculptures. We have papier mached them and next week we will paint them. Watch this space for photographs of the finished product!
This week we kicked off our learning about Titus Salt and Saltaire. At first we didn't know who our mystery person was and we had to uncover clues to reveal sources which told us more about him.
We are loving our new story, Traction Man! Today we went on an adjective hunt to find words to describe him. Then we used a word wheel to sort them into words with similar meanings.
We enjoyed PE in the sun today. As part of our Mental Health and Wellbeing week we learnt about how important exercise is to keep us feeling happy and healthy. We used different kinds of equipment to get our hearts beating and our blood pumping!
Here we are in Maths learning about place value by making numbers using 10s and 1s.
Our classroom elf has arrived! Good morning 2F!
