Summer Term - Our learning journey so far...
This half term we are learning all about, 'Under the sea.'
During circle time we talked about all the things we already knew about the sea. We also thought about what we would like to find out and wrote some questions. We looked at a globe and learnt some facts about the different seas.
The Queen's Birthday
We celebrated the Queen's birthday by having an afternoon tea picnic on the school field. We decorated our own crowns to wear and ate scones with jam and cream. We also learnt some facts about the Queen and met her when she came to our party on the field.
Our fantastic independent writing
We have been very busy learning in provision.
Under the sea models
For our learning log we were asked to make an under the sea model at home. We spent lots of time making our models. Here are our finished creations!
The class who has the best attendance in a week gets a £5 voucher. We spent one of our vouchers and had ice creams and flakes in the sun!
We took part in our very first sports day. We had lots of fun completing the different activities.
We went on a trip to Thornton Hall Farm. We got to feed the lambs and pet lots of different animals. We went on a tractor safari ride and played on the adventure playground. We even had an ice cream too!
For our learning log we were asked to make a farm model at home. We spent lots of time making our models. Here are our finished creations!
We had some caterpillars arrive in our classroom. We watched them grow, make their chrysalis and turn into butterflies. We fed them on sugared water and pieces of fruit. We then took them into the field and let them go.
