Summer Term

Welcome back to school 
This term we will be doing lots of exciting new learning. Keep checking this page for new photos and information!
Maths
LO- to make an array
The children have been working hard to understand how to create and describe an array using the words columns and rows. We worked hard practically outside and inside. We made arrays in teams and individually. 
Science
LO- to label the parts of a plant
We had a go at planting our own bean seeds. We looked at plants and labelled plants practically. 
Art
LO- to paint and draw from observation
We had a go at drawing fruit and vegetables with a variety of different media. we used pencils, pastels, charcoal and coloured pencils. We then had a go at using water colour paints. 
We went on a trip to Rodley Nature Reserve. We had a great day learning about plants and animals which are native to our country. We did some bird watching, pond dipping and we learned about bees. 
We celebrated The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We wore red, white and blue!

We designed a healthy salad to eat. We chose the ingredients carefully and prepared it using equipment on our own. Look at what we created! Yum Yum
Sports day fun
It was such a lovely sunny day!
