Summer Term

To introduce our next science topic about animals we began by a trip to Rodley Nature Reserve. We had a fantastic day there and even managed to avoid the rain. Firstly, we searched the Reserve to collect natural items for our sticky boards. Then after lunch we took turns to go pond dipping, mini beast hunting and bird watching using binoculars. We had to sit very quietly in the bird hide!
We had a fantastic time at our Sports Day. Miss Dobson organised some tricky challenges for us but we worked together in our house teams to try and achieve the most points. Well done to everyone in Kingfisher for winning this year.
An amazing start to our week linked to our Space topic. We loved our time in the planetarium and learnt lots of interesting facts about space. Do you know how many craters are on the moon? ... about 1000 and some of them are the size of a country!
Superb efforts from our children at our local area PE Festival where we competed against seven other schools. We  worked together as a team to support each other in the different activities. We found the egg and spoon race to be tricky!
