Spring Term - Our learning journey so far...

 Our Class Assembly

Our class assembly was all about the United Kingdom. We went on a tour of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We had great fun learning a traditional Scottish dance.

Our visited the Gurdwara

We visited the Gurdwara as part of our work on Sikhism. In the Prayer Hall we heard the scriptures being read from the Guru Granth Sahib and saw the bedroom where this special book goes at night. We also played some traditional musical instruments, including the harmonium and table ( drums ).

Chinese New Year

To celebrate Chinese New Year we made our own dragons and lanterns. We wrote our names in Chinese and even tasted Chinese food!

R.E - Holy Trinity Church Trip

We visited Holy Trinity Church as part of our work on Special Places. We really enjoyed finding out about the different parts of the church, how people are christened and colouring the stained glass window. We were really tired when we had walked back to school!

World Book Day

We enjoyed dressing up as our favourite story characters on World Book Day! During World Book Week we did some fabulous work on India, including: writing and artwork on the Taj Mahal, retelling the story of The Tiger Child, Bhangra Dancing and Indian music.
