Spring Term

English - Children taking part in drama activities in order to understandwhat the character, Bobbie (Big Tom), should do.
Computing - Children learnt how to record and edit voice clips in Garage Band. 
SMSC - Children enjoyed learning about the origins of Indian dancing and completed a simple Indian dancing routine. 
History - children sorting out statements around events that happened during the war and after the war. 
Science - Children to complete a simple series circuit. 
Music- children learning the importance of warming up 
Music - Learning to singing in tune and together as a choir. 
English - Finding the features of a fictional text 

Science – Children explored how to set up a circuit with different components

Maths - Children learnt the expanded method for multiplication 
Homework Project - World War 2 
PE - We continued our Orienteering unit by focusing on how we orientate a map. This children were given a map of the school grounds and they had to orientate their map and point to where we were, this was repeated at different locations. Some children made the like of using the physical features on the map and physical features they could see to work out where they were stood. The children then created their own map using sports equipment making sure features were draw to scale.
PE - We started our new unit which is dance. We started by recapping the different levels we can travel on and what a good balance should look like, the children then put these ideas together to create a simple routine. Then the children started to lean a dance.
Reading- Children had fun finding 10 QR codes and retrieving information.
