Today we went outside for our art lesson to create land art inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.
We used challenge cards to help us with our ideas.
Today we investigated electrical conductors and insulators.
We tried using different items to see if they allowed electric to flow through the circuit.
We used concrete and pictorial methods to help us understand how to use a written form of multiplication. We used the expanded and short methods and then decided which one we preferred and why.
Today we used concrete and pictorial methods to help us understand short division.
In this lesson we developed our teamwork skills. We put ourselves in order and traveled across the 'river' without stepping outside our markers. This was tough especially when Miss Philip started to take some of our equipment away!
We used our map skills to find letters hidden around the playground and then worked as a team to unscramble the words.
Today we explored electric circuits by using different electrical components to make a complete circuit.
We have used different sewing techniques to create our own bookmarks.
We have been learning how to pass the ball between our team without the opposition catching it.
We have also been practicing how to use attacking skills so we can successfully catch the ball from the other team.
In this lesson we made our own switches and used them in an electric circuit. We investigated the effect of the switch on our electrical circuit.
We used the notes D, E and F to follow music and play together in time.
We used Numicon to explore the area of different rectilinear shapes and then used squared paper to investigate the area of our names. After this, we found out that we could use our multiplication facts to help us work out area, so we played games to practice this using dice and squared paper.
