We really enjoyed our 3D shape work. We began by sorting Mrs Wardell's shopping bag, trying to describe the properties we could see and then match them to a mathematical 3d shape object. We then explored the school grounds, identifying real life 3D objects.
In Geography we have been learning all about our world and exploring the United Kingdom. We began by using an atlas to locate where we live and find the four countries that make up the United Kingdom.
In January we visited the Sikh Gurdwara. This is where Sikhs go to worship. We learnt that it is a very special building where everyone is welcome. We were allowed to look around, explore artefacts and also listen as the lady read part of their Holy Book, the Guru Granth Sahib.

Safer Internet Day 2019
In maths we have been comparing groups of objects and also comparing numbers using the vocabulary of greater and smaller.
As part of our Geography work we have compared where we live here in England to Kenya. We looked at a variety of photographs and worked together in groups to sort them. Mrs Wardell and Mrs Donohue asked us to explain why we had identified them as being part of England or Kenya.
