Purple mash
A few people have been in touch about Purple Mash logins. It should be their normal login which is joe.bloggs (firstname.lastname) for username and a 4 digit number as a password.
If it is not working, try it without the .    E.g  joebloggs      This appears to have been the solution for a few children's logins.
To keep your child active, there is the option to complete the daily Joe Wicks PE lesson. This is 30 minute workout which can be completed at home without equipment.
His YouTube channel can be found here
In addition to TT Rockstars, your child can develop their number sense and recall of key facts using the online website below
Using their normal login for TT Rockstars, they can create a robot and work through the story which will help consolidate their understanding of number.

Dear Parent/Carer,

With the current situation of school closure, and to minimise the impact on your child’s learning, we have prepared a range of tasks for your child to complete at home.

We have included a range of tasks for English, Reading, Maths, Science and Spelling.

We recommend that your child reads and plays TT Rockstars for at least fifteen minutes each day. Ideally, one of the reading tasks should follow this. This is to ensure your child is engaging with the text and continuing to develop their reading skills.

Each day, your child should choose either a Maths or English task. In addition to this, we would like children to focus on one spelling rule each week, practising every day. This could be completed by using the Spelling Frame website, writing sentences with the word, handwriting and pyramid words.

Further to this, to ensure a broader curriculum, there are a range of tasks to work through:

Science – To look at the science tasks and key questions relating to different scientific topics.

Computing – Children can log into Purple Mash (normal school log in) and complete a range of tasks relating to the computing curriculum.

Spanish – Children can access Language Angels pupil games area and work through topics starting with early language topics. The log in details are blakehill, blakehill2020.

Other curriculum areas – As we will be looking at the Romans next term, we have set the children an open task to research and create a project based on the Romans.

It is important that children have a healthy balance of educational, recreational and physical tasks to ensure positive wellbeing.

We thank you for your continued support and we will continue to update you as necessary using Marvellous Me.

Thank you

Miss Philip and Mr Hodges

Year 4 Team.
