We have had a lovely first week in 1G. The 'All About Me' bag sent home over the Summer holiday has been a great success with so many families getting engaged in the activity. It was a fantastic way to get to know one another and we all tried really hard to listen carefully as we took turns to share our special items.
In our first art lesson with Mrs Marsden we explored lines inspired by the work of Paul Klee. We used a black whiteboard pen and took it for a 'walk' on our individual whiteboards. we were really happy with the results.
In English we have enjoyed working with the lovely story ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr.
In science we have been learning all about the human body. We have been identifying key body parts and labelling them.
We have walked around Idle looking for signs of the local Jowett history in the area. We followed a map with our partner to help us go in the right direction.
We had an absolutely amazing day when ‘Mighty Zulu Nation’ came to visit us as part of work about Africa. We loved their singing, dancing and trying to speak in their language.
In PE we have enjoyed being outside, working with a partner to send and receive a ball.
