Small Animal Barn and Calves
After our tractor ride we went to the small animal barn. We met the rabbits, guinea pigs and meerkats and used brushes to help keep their fur tidy. We also got to meet the calves who were too young to be fed carrots and stayed in the barn to keep warm.
Lamb Feeding
Our last job of the day before heading back to school was to make sure the lambs had their afternoon feed. Each child was given a bottle of milk to feed the lambs who were very strong. The children had to watch carefully and gradually tip the bottles to make sure the lambs didn't take in too much air whilst drinking.
