LO: To make a prediction about the story.
 
LO: to order the story - Katie in Scotland
The children worked in pairs to order the pictures from the story and worte key vocabulary about each scene.
Maths 
LO: To understand 10
The children needed to sort the number representation pictures into 10 or not 10.
LO: To understand 11,12 and 13.
The children matched up picture representation, written numbers and numerals for 11, 12 and 13.
LO: subtraction within 20
The children had number tracks from 1-10 and 11-20. They had to choose a number roll a dice and then subtract by moving down the number track.
LO: To find doubles
The children used numicon pieces to find their double.
LO: To make doubles
The children explored doubles using mirrors. They built a tower and held it infront of the mirror to find the double.

LO: to use maps, atlases and satellite images to locate the UK.
Art
LO: to paint Nessie using shades of green.
To draw an observational drawing of a daffodil and paint it using watercolurs.

Trips and visits
Holy Trinity Church 
The children had a tour of the church and learnt about the significant aspects of a church. They learnt about why candles are burnt in a church, what a cross represents and about stained glass windows. They even had the chance to colour their own stained glass window.
