Spring Term

The dinosaurs have arrived in Reception. In Spring 1 we will be learning all about dinosaurs! 
What better way than to remember the 'j' grapheme than to learn it with jelly!
A sensory circuit is a great way to start the day!
Our provision is full of dinosaur fun. The children are having a wonderful time choosing their learning and discovering the past. 
We spent time measuring dinosaurs. Did you know that a Brachiosaurus was 25 meters long? We had a go at measuring dinosaurs in our provision. 
Making sandwiches was a lot of fun and very yummy!
We had a visit from a baby T-rex called Rory. We had a go at digging for dinosaur fossils!
We explored capacity this week in maths. We had lots of fun creating different swamps for our dinosaurs to live in. 
Dinosaur fun in our provision! We even had a real volcanic eruption.
Snow fun ! The snow is the best provision ever!
We learned the 'oo' digraph today. We wrote 'oo' words on balloons!
Reception supported Anti-Bullying Day by wearing our odd socks. 
Spring is just around the corner and Reception are getting ready! Look at our living and growing themed provision!
We are hatching our own chicks in reception. Chicks take 21 days to hatch and so we are counting the days down to see if our chicks hatch!
Meet our stick insects! We love having our little visitors in school this week!
Reception class had a visit from local artist, Bob Barker. We learned how to use charcoal. 
Happy World Book Day from RD!
Our first Easter chick hatched this morning. It is called Paddington!
