Welcome Session 5

Our final welcome session and what a lovely morning we had! Again it was fabulous to meet our new children and to chat to their parents. We are all excited about starting school full time!

Daily Dough Disco sessions are helping to exercise our fingers ready for writing.

The Gruffalo

We had a fabulous week in RP working on our Gruffalo activities! We made predictions, sequenced pictures from the story and retold the story to our friends. We even had a go at working together to role-play the story in our woodland area!

We had a fabulous time with Tim the Artist creating our own Gruffalo Deep Dark Wood in the classroom. We can't wait to begin our adventures in there with our Gruffalo masks!

We had great fun in our Phase 1 Phonics Listening Games this week with musical instruments. Mrs Brook hid behind a screen and we had to listen carefully and guess which musical instrument she was playing. We then had a go with our friends!

We really enjoyed dressing up for Maths Day today! We found out about the Numbots and how they can help us improve our maths at home and we solved The Riddle of the Sphinx!

We have loved getting busy outside with our phonics lately! We played /o/ hopscotch last week and had great fun today exercising today and then writing the letter /e/ with a partner!
