Extra Curricular Clubs

At Blakehill, we are very proud of the wide and varied opportunities our children have to participate in extra-curricular activities. Staff work hard to ensure all pupils have equal access to new, healthy and interesting activities which are available to a range of skills, abilities and ages.

We offer: a range of sports, drama, gardening, music tuition, mindfulness, choir, information technology and art.

Many activities are seasonal and we update these regularly.

Januarys sports clubs:

Monday - Idle FC football Year 1. Football - Year 4

Tuesday - Multi Sports Years 1/2. Football - Year 3

Wednesday - Fundamental Movement/Fun Games Reception

Thursday -  Basketball KS2. Karate Years 1/6

Friday - Tag Rugby KS2. Gymnastics Years 2/3

The extra-curricular clubs change every term, so that Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils are all catered for. Letters are sent to parents, usually at the beginning of each half term to advise them of the clubs that are available. Most clubs are after school, between 3:15 and 4:15pm and run by school staff or external providers.

Unfortunately, some clubs have limited numbers. Places for these will be allocated on a first returned basis. Your child will only be informed if they do not have a place.

Several pupils have attended sports competitions, Girls & Boys Football, Golf & Cross Country. Our U11 Boys Football team recently become champions of Bradford & will represent Bradford to try become champions of Yorkshire in the New Year.
